HERE'S WHAT OTHER COUNSELORS HAD TO SAY...

  • “Being a camp counselor is the best! It’s an awesome job with convenient hours, you always get your weekends off; plus, you’re outside all day, you get to swim, and you’re constantly active,” said a returning YMCA camp counselor. “There truly is no other job that could be more ideal than this.”
  • “I was able to help children have a great summer, while also having a fun time myself. It is amazing to have a job where I can spend time outside doing fun activities. Every day, I was excited to come into work and spend time with the campers; the relationships I made are a huge part of the reason why I am excited to come back to camp this summer.”
  • “As a camp counselor, you get the chance to learn some invaluable skills such as problem-solving, creativity and patience, while developing a solid work ethic. These skills are necessary for any other job out there. You also get the chance to meet some awesome people who will be working alongside you.”
  • “My favorite part of being a counselor is knowing I’m having an impact on the kids’ lives. Going to camp is something they’ll remember forever, and I’m glad I get to be a part of their good memories while making memories of my own.”
