PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: YMCA Child Care

With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why the Lake County YMCA’s child care programs, housed in Madison, Willoughby-Eastlake Schools and Painesville City Schools are about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn, developing healthy, trusting relationships and building self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The Lake County Y provides affordable child care for members of the community to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Over 600 children are served in our School-Age Before and Afterschool Programs across Lake County. Art from Longfellow, from Stella's at Longfellow! The students are really enjoying this program, funded by the Phase 3 Ohio Stabilization Grant.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Our community gathered together for the Annual Good Friday Breakfast at the Central Y in Painesville.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

28th Annual Golf Outing
Golf like a pro on the scenic greens of Quail Hollow Country Club while supporting the Y. The day includes golf, lunch and dinner, raffles, and awards reception. Proceeds from the outing ensures that everyone in our community has the opportunity to reach their full potential by providing access to resources, relationships and opportunities for all to learn, grow and thrive. We provide a place to play, to learn, to be healthy, to eat well, and to give back. We give parents childcare, young adults job training, seniors a way to connect and children a safe place to go.
